TITLE: BITTERSWEET DECAY
DATE: 10/26/01
SIZE: (11") (7")

This depicts clear, vivid autumn color just before winter clears away summer growth. I love the last blaze of life that comes before decay and rebirth. Pure windsor red and lemon yellow leaves are just turning to payne's gray. A clear cobalt blue sky, teal foliage and windsor violet branches provide a cool foil for the last blaze of life. Decay is bittersweet, like life, death and rebirth.
